Five Months On
Five months ago today we lost you
Five months ago today we held for the first and last time
Five months ago today our lives were shattered
And our hearts were broken
Five months ago your big brother stopped being a regular three-year old
And grew up over night
Worrying whether Mummy was ok and checking throughout the day if she was sad
Five months ago we lost you
Ninety Two days we haven’t had you
Ninety Two days of tears
Heartache and pain
Ninety Two days of never not thinking about you and wondering how different our lives would be.
Five months ago we had our lives mapped out
Your brother and you made our lives perfect
Five months ago we laughed and smiled and really truly meant it
Now our future is uncertain our plans have been wiped out from under us
Now our laughs are not always 100% true
In five months we have cried more than we have ever cried before
In five months we have experienced pain like we have never felt before
Five months ago we thought we knew who loved us, your brother and you
Today we 100% know who loves us, your brother and you
Today we are closer to people than we ever were before
Today we have been supported and hugged by people we never were before
Today we stand the three of us, that should be four and stand proud
It may be hard
We may all cry
And we may all be sad
But we will always be our family of four, fighting to survive as three
And by god we will survive and will fight and we will unite
We will do it all for you!
Our precious baby girl!
We all love you Rhianna Lily and can not believe it is five months already. Sleep tight angel.

As usual, I’m moved by your words and by your strength, grace and love. You are an amazing person and I’m inspired by your little family every day. Love you loads xxxx

Thank you Carol xx
Sending you love as ever. Standing here, I hope, as the keeper of the light at the end of the tunnel with my hands outstretched to help you get beyond the darkness. It’s a different light, this light, to the one you expected to live in, but it is a bearable light and it’s here for you, when you are ready. You will get through. It will never be okay this happened, but you will make it.
That has made me cry thank you Merry so much xxx
So poignant. We will always have this day in common. Five months.
Lots of love,
Lisa
