Our Safe and Happy Place
I think everyone has one, or at least should have one.
A place that is their happy place, their safe place, and their place that is their grounding place.
A place that they have to go to soothe their soul.
To help ease their pain and help their pain and aches.
That place for me is the beach.

The beach is where I feel our family is the most complete.
It is the place I feel closest to Rhianna.

Which is totally random as she never ever has been.
It doesn’t have to be a specific beach, any beach will do.
I walk onto a beach and I feel her.
I know she is near.
And the comfort comes.

It doesn’t matter how bad I feel.
How sad I feel.
How out of sorts I feel.
The beach sorts it.
I feel calmer.
I feel more at peace.
I feel we are more complete.

I feel the stress leave me.
I see the stress disappear from the rest of us.
I see the calmness arrive.
I see all of us become happier, calmer, more peaceful.
Soothed.
And renewed.
It doesn’t matter if we go to the beach in the winter, spring, summer or autumn.
We may walk to the beach broken.
But we always walk away from the beach a little repaired.
