A week today is Rhianna Lily’s anniversary

For three years we have celebrated her birthday and anniversary all in one day.

But we really haven’t

Rhianna’s birthday / anniversary comes and we are so very touched with the love that is sent to us on the day

How can you celebrate your child being stillborn?

We celebrate her birthday.

Her first birthday Baba wanted a party, so we had one

We had a cake and brought her a present

Her second birthday Baba wanted a cake, so we had one

We had a cake and brought her a present

This year for her third birthday we will be buying teddy bears for Aching Arms

And we will be having a birthday cake

Baba doesn’t get an anniversary and Boo wont for years either

And to be honest we don’t want them to get Rhianna’s anniversary yet

Anniversary’s to a six and a one year old should be happy things, like celebrating your wedding, that is an anniversary they should be told about, not your sister dying.

But whether she is here or not, birthday’s are something you always celebrate

And that is something we want to continue

That is something they understand

And that is something that should be celebrated

A week today Rhianna will have turned three

It’s hideous, horrible and unfair that on the same died she died

But a week today she should have been three and that is what we are going to celebrate

So if you want to remember Rhianna next week we ask you a little favour

Remember it with a Happy Birthday rather than just remembering that she died that day too

Because we will be celebrating her birthday as she will be having cake in heaven while we have cake here
