Rhianna’s Tree

When Rhianna died, one of the first things Mr L said he wanted was that he wanted a tree for her in the front garden.

It is something that has gone round and round with us.

Shall we buy one.

If we buy one what shall we buy.

He always wanted a round tree, one that wasn’t huge and one that looked nice when we looked out the front garden.

I have always wanted something I can put fairy lights in, one that we can have gorgeous stones around, one that we can put signs up against and hang some gorgeous little bits and bobs on. Something we know is save after all the issues we have had with her grave.

But we have never actually settled on the tree we wanted or what we were going to actually buy.

And then today he brought her a tree.

And it is amazing!

It isn’t complicated, it isn’t difficult.

But it is perfect to have some lights on, to have some lovely stones around, to have some little signs by.

It is something at home, now that we are staying, that means she is included again.

And we can look out of our lounge window and see it!

And no one needs to know, no one needs to understand except us, that this is Rhianna’s tree, Rhianna’s bit of our front garden and Rhianna’s spot at home.
