Rhianna’s Fairy Door
Ages ago we decided to make Rhianna a fairy garden in our garden when we sorted it.
We have tried since loosing her to grow plants successfully and it has never really happened, but over the years Baba and now Boo have brought lots of stones and garden ornaments for her, so a fairy garden seemed the best idea.
I even went and brought a fairy door, and put it away safe, so that we could use it when the time was right.
These past few days we have been working hard in the garden, and yesterday I decided to add the fairy garden to the work that we had already done.
After setting up the garden I realised that I didn’t actually know where the fairy door was, after searching in all the usual places I still couldn’t find it. So the garden just didn’t look complete.
After searching again, and again. I finally admitted defeat that I have really put this door in a safe place and I don’t actually know where.
So I went searching on Pinterest to look for fairy doors, as I really wasn’t happy with her garden without a door.
I eventually found that you could easily make fairy doors out of lollypop sticks and Baba has tons in his art stash, and ones of different sizes.
So I set off on a mission to make a door that was beautiful enough to match her garden.
After about fifteen minutes I managed it.

I used six large lolly sticks and placed them all next to each other. I then used ten smaller lolly sticks and stuck them horizontally and diagonally along the larger sticks on both sides to make the door stronger, I then found five purple sticks and stuck these onto the smaller lolly sticks.
I then used some glitter glue and dotted each stick for decoration.
I broke a lolly stick and wrote HOME SWEET HOME on it and stuck on it the door as a sign, and instantly feel in love with the whole door.
Once all the glue and glitter glue was dry I covered the whole door, front and back with PVA glue to protect it from the weather and then put it outside.
It is the perfect finish and one that we all love and finishes of her garden beautifully.

That is a great door honey, well done. Hugs x
Thank you loved doing it xx
