Still Going Strong

Last week I wrote about the first week back on the diet bandwagon, I was really impressed that I lost so much last week and really hadn’t made that many dramatic changes. So to lose 4.25lbs was amazing and I was really pleased with myself.

This past week I have been doing the same. There hasn’t been anything amazing going on, and I haven’t even really exercised this week. But I have made sure I have eaten meals, rather than just pick all day long. I have made a real effort to eat three meals a day. I didn’t think that I had done that well, and to be honest I didn’t have my heart in it, with Rhianna’s due date looming I was distracted to say the least.

So to get on the scales and see that another 2.25lbs were lost I was so happy. I had a goal of 10.5lbs in four weeks and in two weeks I have done 6.5lbs so I really feel that this last 4lbs is achievable I am so happy that I am half a pound of half a stone as it is a big amount to lose and I am really happy about it.

This week I am making a change. I have an issue with sweet stuff and chocolate, and I want to be slimmer. So this week I am starting on my Slimpods from Thinking Slimmer. I did these last year before I fell pregnant with Rhianna but now that I have two pregnancies under my belt and an insulin dependent diabetic father and am now the other side of 30 I think I really need to crack this sugar addiction that I have especially the weight that I am. So I have started these in the hope that they will change my eating habits for ever and change the way that I deal with food.

I am looking forward to giving them a go. I start them today and will be reporting back next week with how I am getting on with them. So lets hope to another good week!

  • Well done Kerry! I’ve been on a health kick too for the past few weeks, and it’s taken me three weeks to get to 6.5lbs off, so I know how good an achievement it feels. I think I have actually managed to make some progress with my own sugar addiction. My sister-in-law advised me to just restrict sweet treats and junk from 9am Monday to 5pm Friday, and to make that a change for good. So I’ve been doing that, and while it was really hard the first week, this week (the third week), I’ve barely had to give it a second thought. I think that’s because I know I can have a few treats at the weekend, so I don’t feel deprived.

    Keep up the good work!
