Semi Normal
So today the boys went back to school.
It’s all very different and strange but they were excited to go back.
To be honest if it was just up to me they would still be home, but they both asked to go back they are in the years that can go back and we had always said from the absolute start that it would be a decision for all of us too make.
Mr L also agreed it was good for them to go back so off they went today.
It is very quiet at home.
All my jobs are done and the dogs have taken up permanent residence on their claimed back sofa after having to share it all day long for weeks and weeks.
I actually thought I would get in and turn the TV on and watch some of my trash TV that I haven’t seen in months.
Actually I haven’t even put it on.
I have cleaned, done the washing, sorted a list of jobs that need to be done by the end of the week, walked the dogs, done some Tropic work and been shopping.
And it is barely lunchtime.
I have to admit I am anxious to know how they are getting on and really hoping they will enjoy it.
There really is only a few days for them before the summer holidays are here and even though I probably wouldn’t have sent them back if it was just me I do also feel they are lucky to get to finish their year. Especially BB who is in his final year of primary.
It is strange.
I am not sure how the schools are going to go in the future I just know right now that they boys really wanted to go for the social aspect of school and I hope that they will be happy with how it is when they come out today!
And hopefully over the next couple of weeks I can actually get some of these fiddly jobs all finished while they aren’t here!
Then when summer hits we can all just relax. It has been gorgeous having them all home, but it hasn’t been relaxing throwing in home learning in the mix has meant it has been quite stressful at times and I can’t wait to just chill with them for a few weeks with no pressures to do work, or work being sent home or anything else!
That I am really looking forward too.
