Second Week of School
So we are heading into the second week back of school.
And to say everyone is pretty shattered is actually an understatement.
The boys have definitely found falling into the new year routines harder this year.
Boo is clearly doing a lot more and is extremely tired after his first four days back, but I have to say his reading is amazing.
He has read every night since he has been back to school and is so doing so well it is amazing to listen to him.
BB also has been reading a lot, and has finished his first book since going back already. But he is struggling with the concept of school homework to be honest.
And isn’t liking the thought of it at all.
He loves working, but the few times he ever has had homework, he hates it and myself and him get into huge disagreements when he has homework. We are far too alike and to be honest I really am dreading all the homework that is heading his way over the next few years.
Mr L is much better with BB when it comes to homework, and he seems to be the one that sits down with him and actually gets it completed with him. So I think our roles are set for the next few years.
But we are all tired.
The mornings have done us all in if I am honest.
None of us are naturally early risers. And having to get up early every morning has really made us all so tired. That by the time Friday hit we all feel asleep on our movie night, in the middle of the movies we watched.
We were beat and we have tried not to do too much this weekend but I have a super busy week work wise and the boys are both starting forest school this week and actually we have done a lot. As we have blitzed the house top to bottom and am still getting on top of the washing but really haven’t just sat around this weekend.
So we have tried to be chilled but not be bored.
And hopefully have got organised for the rest of the week.
But as this is the first full week back I am still working out what to do when and get organised with work and school.
And if I am totally honest that is going to take time.
But one thing is for sure we need a week of not doing a lot outside of school and work, and we still all need to catch up on some serious sleep.
