Rhianna’s Shelves
Rhianna’s shelves have been up for quite a few years now.
Every summer they get a little blitz and a clean and that is all that they need to look perfect again.
We spend a lot more time in the garden now that it has all been done up, and actually this year her shelves really did look tired and old.

They had become a bit of a dumping ground as we have been doing up the garden and they had a lot of things on them that had actually broken over the winter.
Her windmills had finally given up and had all started to disintegrate and looking at them I did think that they possibly needed a new paint for this year.
But first I thought I would give them a clean up and see how they looked.
With the new gazebo they are also now a place for the solar light panels, so I didn’t just want them hanging on them looking hideous I knew they had to be incorporated into the shelves.

I got rid of the broken items, got rid of the rubbish and gave the shelves a little dust and wipe, and I am really pleased with the finished result.
I added some shells from our huge collection indoors as I am sure she would have loved shells as much as her brothers do.
Now that all the rubbish and broken bits have gone I don’t think it needs another paint.
It will do in the next couple of years but at the moment it is still ok.
She needs a bit of colour.
This weekend we will pick her some windmills again and as our garden is a solar light haven now a days I think she could definitely do with some lights around her shelves as well.
So it will have some new things added to the shelves this year. To make it girlie sparkly and pretty again for the next few months.
But it is once again one of the favourite areas of our garden, I am so pleased Mr L put this up all those years ago. It was something he did one his own for his baby girl and it is something that we all love so much.
