Rhianna’s Flowers In March

So it is finally March.

Our worst month.

One that I dread starting but one that I also hate finishing.

Starting the month means it is Rhianna’s birthday in a few short days.

Ending the month means it isn’t Rhianna’s birthday for another year.

Grief is so bloody complicated it really is.

But it also means that it is the month of traditions.

Ones that we have started for Rhianna.

Going to the cinema to see a movie she would enjoy, not a superhero one her brothers would love but one she would love.

This year it is going to be Dumbo.

March also means we will have flowers every day in March at home.

It is our simple but significant thing that we do for her year after year.

Every March I try to find pretty flowers for her, they don’t have to always be lilies although there will be some at some point, but they always need to be pretty.

It is something that I like doing and means that the whole month is about her, quietly but still all about her.

And it means that we all have something to focus on and look at and love for the whole month of March.
