Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month
October is here and October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, with Babyloss Awareness Week in the middle from the 9th to 15th of October.
It is a month and week that is important.
That should be shouted about.
That more people should be aware off.
But it’s also a month you don’t want to shout about.
You don’t want to be a part off but you are.
And there is nothing you can do about it.
The thing is babyloss isn’t just babyloss.
If it was only that simple.
Your baby doesn’t die and your sad for a little while and life goes on.
For sure life goes on.
But your not just sad for a little while.
Your sad forever.
You are forever changed.
You don’t just lose a baby.
You lose a lifetime.

You lose the firsts, the birthdays, the friends, the fallouts, the hobbies, the school, the driving, the University, the partners, the adulthood, the whole life.
You lose it all.
And every time a moment happens you remember.
You know when they should be at preschool, you know when they should start school. You know when they should leave school. You know when they should be driving. You know and you think what if.
And a parallel life goes on in your head.
One with all your children.
One with your only child.
One with everyone together.
It never goes.
It’s always there.
People need to be aware of that.
It’s not a loss you forget.
It’s not a loss that is easier.
It’s one you live with, one you adapt too.
One you grow with.
But you are forever missing a whole lifetime together.
And that doesn’t disappear over night.
