Planning Our Summer
The first day of the summer holidays I set the boys a challenge to write down things that they wanted to do in the summer.
We did a list like this last year, but I massively helped the boys. This year they went ahead and did the list mainly on their own.
Boo got bored after a little while, but BB was really into it. He spent most of the afternoon looking places up on the internet and trying to think of things to do over the summer.
The list that we have for this summer consists of a trip to Liverpool, a weekend in Wales, and a visit to Dorset, to go away in the caravan and to go to different caravan parks.
We also have trips to London, a visit to Harry Potter World, a trip to the Isle of Wight and a day trip to the New Forest.
Then we have lots of beach visits written down, I think covering every beach in our area, which is nice and easy to do.
Some national park visits local to us.
A night at Nanny and Grandads, a sleepover at both of their aunties, and to have their cousins to stay.
We have a list of friends they want to visit and friends they want to go and visit.
They have written down cinema, walking, swimming and bike riding, baking, painting, and moving their rooms around!
They have literally covered from the most expensive, to the costly, down to the cheaper version and included the free rainy day items.
BB did an extensive list and has pretty much covered each area. I need to know write it up and put it on the fridge so that we can see it each day and make sure that we cross of things as the days go past!
I am hoping that we will achieve most of them, maybe not all the visits as he has picked some places that will take some serious travel, and I think Mr L will have to take some time of work for us to actually be able to do it.
But they are good things on the list and I am looking forward to completing them and making some memories with the boys this summer!
