CyberMummy, Peppa Pig, and a Haircut

This weekend has gone by in a bit of a blur! I don’t think we have ever been this busy in a couple of days.

Firstly I set of on the Friday night heading to CyberMummy hoping that it would be just as good as it was last year! I wasn’t disappointed. I love the whole concept of CyberMummy, I love being able to speak to bloggers in person rather than just tweeting and chatting on blogs and facebook! Although I know I can be a bit rubbish on the commenting on blogs! I will get better at that!

There is never enough time in one day to speak to everyone you want to and to actually catch up with the people who you would like to see! But you try your best and everyone is in the same position, you have snippets on conversations on stairs and a quick hug and hello, is all you can manage with some, but at least you have had the chance. Something that you don’t get everyday which I love.

I also love speaking to the PR people. I love seeing the things that are coming out and building that relationship with the PR people. Last year I was very new to blogging only been doing it a couple of months, and didn’t really know anything about PR or reviews. This year there were lots of names that I recognised people that I had been talking to for months and was finally able to see face to face, this I liked. I really enjoyed that interaction and can now picture them when talking to them in the future!

The sessions I also found really useful. I tried to mix the sessions up this year and loved hearing the different tips and ideas. I have come away this year with a lot of tips, I am happy with this blog. This is my baby and I love the way it is, I always started this blog for Baba, Mr L and myself. That view is still the same and I love that. I obviously love it when people read my blog and comment, I try not to get bogged down with this though. As this was always an online diary of the things that we do and a place to seek a little advice on different things. This is my little hub in the world and I like how it is working at the moment, but I am a firm believer that you can never stop learning things and tricks and tips and this weekend at CyberMummy I learnt a lot.

I learnt a lot for my Scrapbookerry blog as well, this is more of a niche blog and I found a lot of information out that would help with this blog. I have a plan with that one and there was lots of information that would help with those plans. So all in all I had a great time catching up with friends, meeting some in the flesh for the first time, and making some new ones. Everything about it was a fab day and I can’t wait for 2012!

Sunday not being too tired from CyberMummy we went to Paultons Park for Mr L’s dad and brothers birthday with the rest of his family. The day was hot, it was hectic but it was still a good day, even though Baba got very very tired!

As soon as we got there Baba wanted to go to Peppa Pig World, Baba and the rest of the 2-5 year old population in Paultons Park, it was heaving and the queues were massive! But we managed to get Baba onto the hot air balloon ride and then we had a massive play in the soft play area which Baba and his cousin both loved. But the highlight for Baba was going into Peppa Pigs house and seeing, Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy pig, his face says it all really!

Once we had been round Peppa Pig World it was lunch time and we had a massive picnic, before setting off and going round the actual park! Baba had a great time on the trampolines, while all the other adults were being big kids on the Go Karts!

Baba then developed a love for the Flying Frog roller coaster, he dragged Mr L over, and not being a lover of rides himself he did not look that happy. But after going on the ride with Baba Mr L realised it wasn’t that bad, and went again with Baba. We then all had to have a go on this ride with Baba, and as there was no queue it was a perfect time to be taking over the ride. Baba has developed my love or rides thankfully, and is not scared at the moment it seems.

The day started to get really hot so we tried to stay cool by walking around the dinosaur walk. Baba loved this his little face when he first heard the sound effects was very funny, he looked very confused and really shocked. But he soon realised that there were dinosaurs in the woods and being a massive dinosaur fan he was in heaven and could not get enough of them!

Everyone had to see every single dinosaur and we had to be quiet when we came out and walk on tiptoes as the baby dinosaur was asleep! Just in case you don’t realise when you go!

Baba did loose the plot at the end, he was very hot, and very tired. He had been on the go all day and hadn’t had one sleep and we knew about it. On the way home he quickly feel asleep and didn’t wake till the next morning!

Yesterday we had Mr L home, not supposed to be but he was, which was nice as he got to take and collect Baba from school. Which he has never done before and he was really excited about being involved. Baba thought that Mr L was staying for lunch and kept asking where his lunch box was! But it didn’t cause a massive problem!

Although his hair did, he was so hot yesterday and his head was sticking and making him even hotter. We had noticed it on Monday as well so decided yesterday to actually take him to the hairdressers and get a good decent cut! Baba has never been to a hairdressers before and I wont lie it took a while, in fact a whole half hour just to get him to stay in the shop without stropping! But we finally got there and he sat in the chair all by himself and let the lady cut his hair.

He no longer looks like a baby a proper boy seemed to grow infront of our eyes. He also instantly looked cooler!

It seems to be a hit, I like it, Mr L likes it and Baba seems to like it!

If all this isn’t enough the end of last week I found out some very exciting news for Scrapbookerry you can have a read about that here!

So today we are doing nothing, we are catching up on washing, chilling and attempting to tidy up the house a little! All in all a bit of time for Baba and I to try to catch up with a few bits and pieces. We had a great weekend but my god we are all tired and hot!

I would also like to say a huge thank you to Baby Wiggles for sponsoring me to go to CyberMummy this year, do check out their site. It is a fantastic resource for mums out there!
