Chicken Pox, or Not Chicken Pox

It is something we haven’t been sure about for the last few days.

Thursday Baba came home from school basically covered in spots. His back was covered from the base of his neck down to the base of his spine. All the spots were small spots, and looked like they all had heads on them. There seemed to be a couple of bigger ones, in certain places and he said that they were really itchy.

So we decided to take him to the doctors to check what it was as we were fairly certain that he had chicken pox.

The doctor wasn’t so sure and said they were too small for chicken pox and he thought it was just a virus but it could come something more.

The week has revolved around some odd behaviour from Baba, he has had a couple of nights of night terrors and has been exceptionally tired. Which is very unlike him.

Yesterday he woke up covered, the spots on his back had increased, and he then had spots on his front, and down his leg. Again all small spots, and all with heads on them. None had blistered though, but none had gone.

He wasn’t right yesterday, he didn’t overly want to eat, which is so unlike Baba. He said he felt sick and his glands were up. So he is ill but we are just not sure what.

Today he is still covered in spots, he had a good nights sleep and he has wanted to eat this morning but the spots are increasing and are showing no signs of going!

So we shall see how he is tomorrow but for now we are staying indoors, incase it is contagious or even if it is just a virus!
