Capture Your Grief – Purpose

Today’s prompt for Capture Your Grief is Purpose.

Why are you doing Capture Your Grief this year.

I have participated in some of the capture your grief prompts every year since Rhianna died, not completing it fully, and every year the reasons behind why I am participating is different.

This year it is simple and isn’t that complicated.

This year my reason for participating in the prompts is because of this little girl.

I am a mum to three children, to two boys and a girl, not just two boys.

And if I don’t shout about it, then who will.

My purpose is and will always be my children.

Whether they are here with me, or up in the sky, as the boys would say.

My purpose is to be the best mother I can be.

To look after them, protect them and guide them.

For Rhianna it is different.

I look after her garden and her flowers, and protect her memory from ever fading.

And if her story guides just one person who has lost a child then that gives her life, her journey a purpose.

And that is why I am doing this year’s Capture Your Grief.
