What A Week!
I cant believe it has been seven days since I last blogged, this week has been a manic week.
I seem to have blinked and missed it all!
And I am not really sure where it really went.
It started at the weekend, when I decided that even though Mr L had tried to convince the boys that we didn’t need our decorations up earlier than the first of the month this year I was going to put them up at the weekend regardless.
And we went all out this year.

We have more trees than we have ever had, even putting one in the summer house for the first time this year.
It’s been such a rubbish year if you can’t do it this year when can you do it.
We spent two whole days doing all decorations and I am so pleased we did as well, they really do make me feel a lot happier.
I love getting up in the morning and turning on all the lights.
But once we got all the decorations arrived the Elves arrived.
We have a bit of a different feel about the Elves this year, but they are still here creating fun and mischief and Boo has loved them this year. So much so that he hasn’t got up later than 7am all week favouring the new time of around 6am! I am hoping at some point he will need a longer lay in in the morning, it can’t come soon enough!

Then as soon as we were all feeling a little Christmas cheer, the decorations were up and the Elves were back it was Boo’s birthday and suddenly we had a seven year old in the house.

Even though we were out of Lockdown 2.0 for his birthday we are still in the tiers so it was a birthday like no other for Boo.
Both Mr L and BB have had birthdays in the last couple of months, but they are older and understand the rules and reasoning behind it. Boo not so much so I was worried about how he would be on his birthday.
In some ways it was lucky that he was at school as it meant that he could see all of his friends, which did soften the blow that we really couldn’t do anything else for his birthday.
We got a takeaway his choice and that was as exciting as the plans got, but he got everything that he wanted and really did love all of his presents.
So it definitely wasn’t as bad as I thought it may have been.
But it has been a busy week.
On top of that I have been attempting to finish off all the Christmas shopping as things need to get delivered to places, and who knows how long that is going to take this year. So I want to be organised relatively early so that the wrapping can commence and we can get on top of everything and be a little more chilled once the children are home rather than be stressed about it all.
From now on the birthdays are done, and it is full Christmas mode now, so the weeks should be a little calmer on that front hopefully.
This weekend we are chilling, and calming down, letting the boys chill out and catch up on the sleep ready to get recharged for the last two weeks of school before the holidays hit.
I literally don’t know where this year has gone, maybe the fact we have been locked down for so much of it makes it feel like it has whizzed by this year!
I really do feel like it has been a super fast year.
Maybe that isn’t a bad thing in hindsight really!
