Trying To Run Before We Can Walk

We are in that magical time with Boo, the time that all he wants is food and cuddles and he does love cuddles.

He loves day time cuddles with me, night time cuddles to fall asleep with Daddy and general I love you to the moon and back cuddles with Baba. And if anyone else will give Boo a cuddle in between he really wont say no.

It is a great time, a time where he is totally and utterly dependent on us and it is a lovely time. One that we never thought would happen. So even more magical.

It isn’t a time that I want to wish away or one that I want to go too fast. I want to enjoy it. I want to soak it up.

It isn’t a time we will ever have again and I want to treasure it.

But I have this little problem called my brain at the moment.

Never before have I had so many ideas to do different things for Scrapbookerry the list is becoming endless. Every day I think of something else and it is meaning that I can’t just sit and relax as I am thinking of this thing that I should be doing, or making, or preparing. And it is making my head explode in a really good way.

But I need to slow down. We can barely walk in our new routine let alone run. So I am trying to rein it all in and be sensible about what I want to do, what I have to do and what realistically I can do with a totally dependent 8 week old and a totally independent (or so he thinks) 5 year old. And to be honest at the moment that isn’t a huge amount.

So for now it will be lists and notes and jotting downs until I get to a point where all these things can be achieved.

Currently it is getting them out of my head and onto paper so that I don’t forget them and hoping that then I can rest with what I will achieve.

And I will achieve it but it in a time that I can do it. No sooner just when the time is right.

As my business is great and I love what I do but my family is better and they come first, and currently they need me much more.
