The Weekend Of Firsts

This weekend has been a weekend of firsts.

It was the first time I went out on my own after having Boo, and it was the first time leaving Mr L completely in charge. He did have it a little easy as Baba decided that morning that he would go to Nannies for the evening. So Mr L ended up with just Boo and off course he breezed through looking after him. As I knew he would.

It was also the first time Mr L and I went out with no children at all since Boo was born. It was only to Tescos but it was just us. No one else in the car and no one else to worry about while we were shopping. It made Tesco’s so easy and quick and it was lovely to just be the two of us. Which is so rare now a days.

It was the first time Baba sat down of an evening and read most of a book to us. It was amazing to hear. Going through the sounds of the letters and putting them all together and reading out the words. He was so proud of himself and was grinning from ear to ear. Which made it even more special.

I am so excited about him learning to read and can not wait to curl up and read ‘big’ stories with him that has chapter after chapter. Watching his face and watching him learn makes you want to read every book out there.

But the biggest first this weekend was a major event.

Baba has a wobbly tooth.

He has been desperate for a wobbly tooth since he was 3 and his face literally lit up from ear to ear. He told me and daddy and couldn’t wait to show it off. I think there will be quite a wait as it has only just become wobbly and I am sure he will drive us all mad waiting for it too fall out. But it is exciting.

If not a bit scary though as he is growing up way to fast now.
