Trying To Get Back Into The Swing Of It
We had a gorgeous two weeks off.
The weather was fab for the kids holiday, and we did loads of things.
Lots and lots of beach visits, a trip to London, a visit to a local farm centre, and a gorgeous caravanning trip for Easter Weekend.
It really was a couple of weeks that I don’t think any of us wanted to end.
But unfortunately school holidays aren’t forever.
And they always have to end and yesterday the boys both went back to school, BB was not that impressed and Boo was impressed even less that they had to wake up and get ready for school in the morning.
But they both seemed to have a fab day once they were there so at least that was a good thing.
However it wasn’t just them that had to get back into a routine, I haven’t really done a lot of work over the two weeks that the boys have been off. Which actually ended with no work while we were away at all.
It was lovely and was much needed.
However know I need to get my butt into gear to get back into the swing of things.
And it is something that is really hard to do when you work on your own and from home, especially when you have been away and have a pile as high as a mountain of washing. It is super easy to get distracted by everything else at home, rather than actually sit down and do some actual work.
I am certainly feeling that way at the moment.
I feel like the last two days have been just washing and tidying and getting the house sorted when I should have been working and getting some dates in the diary for events, pampers and one to ones.
I need to work out a little system to make myself more productive work wise, and set up a working day each day rather than slotting work into my day around general house stuff, the general house stuff needs to slot in around my work.
I need to shift my brain I think and work out a better way to work.
And I need to do it fast because before long it will be the summer holidays and I will need to rejig how I work all over again.
Who said working from home was easy!
