Tropic Tuesday – Vitamin Toner Pore Defining Mist

This little beauty of a Toner I think is widely overlooked by people.

People know to cleanse their skin, but are never really sure why you should tone your skin.

Basically toners are a great step in-between cleansing and moisturising your skin, to keep your skin clear and healthy. Toners are an essential part of your daily routine to tighten and close your pores after cleansing, and keeps the dirt and infection at bay from your skin. Traditionally they would restore your pH level after cleansing, but as the Smoothing Cleanser from Tropic is already pH balanced, the toner does so much more than that.

This toner is an instant skin refresher, that can at the very basic be used as part of your daily routine between the Smoothing Cleanser and Skin Feast.

However and this is where this product is magic, it can be used for a variety of things.

Firstly to cool your skin on the go, so is fantastic for holidays, or hot days at home, hot flushes, labour! A great natural alternative to keep you cool.

It soothes your skin, so has been used in the past on sunburn in our house, and for if we have been bitten in the past, and really did help with the itching!

You can hydrate your skin at any point of the day, even when you are wearing make up, just a couple of sprays of this Vitamin Toner will give your skin the hydration boost that it needs.

It can also be used as a fantastic natural hair detangler, what my eldest actually uses it for the most, now that his hair is getting longer and longer as he is growing it to donate it. It is a great alternative to the shouting that brushing his hair can produce, and means that his hair is brushed easily, smells fab and has a beautiful shine to it.

This toner is for anyone, if you want a smoother more refined complexion, you want to reduce the appearance of premature ageing, for a daily skincare routine, for people who are needing to cool down throughout the day, and even for sensitive skin.

The Vitamin Toner is full of hero ingredients that make this product so amazing. Aloe Vera Juice, Rose Water, Cucumber Juices all soothe and cool the skin while calming down any redness. Vitamin C and Amino Acids balance the skins pH levels and refine the pores leaving a brighter skin tone. Cranberry Seed Extract which is full of Omega 3 is a skin conditioner that tightens and refines pores. The scent of the toner is very subtle and smells of rose water and cucumber.

The toner has a milky consistency that is because of the micro-dispersed oil and water particles, which result in a super refreshing toner.

Because of the way the toner is made your need to shake the toner first to combine the micro-dispersed oils, waters and juices. You use your Smoothing Cleanser and wipe this away with your Bamboo cloth. Once you have done this and shaken your Toner, you push the pump to spray the mist over your face and neck. The mist is a light breezy mist and really does feel lovely on your skin.

You then can either leave the toner to sink into your skin for extra moisture, or wipe away with a damp cotton wool pad. It is best to do this with cold water as it helps the pores to shrink and prevents dirt from re-entering the pores. Or I like to pat it into my skin, especially in the mornings as I don’t have time for it to dry so I pat it into my skin until it is dry.

You then follow the toner with a serum of your choice or Skin Feast.

It really is that simple to use and is a firm favourite in our house for our faces, and our hair, it is £14 for 120ml and as with everything Tropic it last a long time as a little goes a long way!
