Summer Holidays 2020
Well the Summer Holidays have finally started after being at home for many weeks the boys went back for the last four weeks of term and actually really enjoyed being in school for that time.
Thursday was their last day and they have officially started the summer holidays until the beginning of September.
Big Bro has officially left Primary, and luckily they did manage to do a few leaving things even with lockdown happening so he got some closure, even if it wasn’t what it should have been.
Boo finished his last couple of weeks of year one and is looking forward to year two mainly because as it stands right now he will be in a year bubble which he is very excited about.
But more than anything we have six weeks of doing nothing.
There is no school work to be done at home.
There’s no home learning stress.
Theres no mum, teacher cross over.
We can all just chill.
We can all have a break.
The kids can sleep late, and we can do things at a leisurely pace.
They are both looking forward to that.
And so am I if I am totally honest.
The boys were fab at doing their work at home.
I as mum and suddenly non qualified teacher found it very stressful.
But that has all now gone.
And it is a huge relief.
Yesterday we had a complete day at home and the boys did nothing, they slept in late, they played their computers they did nothing.
Today they slept in late we had a lazy morning and then we headed out for a walk.

The next few weeks will definitely be at a slower pace.
The boys will have a complete rest before they head back into year two, and start at their new school in year seven in September.
And all of us are so pleased and ready for yet!
