Second Week of School
We are into the second week of school for both of the boys, and Big Bro is still loving the new school, and loves the new routine and is actually coping really well with the early wake ups and coming home later.
Both Mr L and I are both really impressed with how well he has adapted to his new routine.
Big Bro has always loved school, he has always been eager to go in and to be honest he was so ready for school after lockdown, and ready for secondary.
He really is pleased to be back.
Boo we were worried about, he has never ever been a lover of school.
Right back to nursery he didn’t overly love it.
He has always gone, he knows he needs to go but he has never been a lover of it.
He has good days and bad days, and always has.
He can go weeks going in fine and then he will have few bad days and will be upset about going.
Last week he went back beautifully, and it really did seem like we had turned a corner.
But clearly we hadn’t.
Today was a bad day, he didn’t want to go in. There was no reason why, but it was just a bad morning for him.
He did go in, unhappily.
I hope he has a fab day, I am sure he will as he always does, its just the getting him in that is the problem.
I wish we could get over it, as it is really not lovely leaving him at school upset and unhappy, and then having to go home and hope that he is ok.
I wish we could make it so that he went off happy each day, and we didn’t have the upset that we do get on some days.
But to be honest I am not really sure what to do differently or how to change things in the morning to make a difference.
So I am just hoping that today he has a good day, and that this morning was just a little blip, and that tomorrow he will once again be happy to go back to school, and we wont have another morning like we have today!
