School Trip

So Baba hit another milestone of sorts yesterday and went on his first school trip! At the grand old age of 2 and a half!

Mr L was a little nervous and so was I to be fair, but Baba loved every minute of it. The most exciting part of the day for Baba was getting the bus!

It was a magical moment, I had told him he was catching the bus to the farm, and he kept agreeing with me. When it arrived though he actually leaped of the floor, and did that little hopping and squealing that children do, he was shouting “getting the bus mummy, getting the bus” It was so exciting, and moments like this make all the struggling with finances that we have worthwhile, to be at home and see him have these little moments of poor joy!

He could not contain himself waiting for the bus and just kept giggling and shouting at me that he was going on a bus. I was a little concerned that he would never want to get off the bus.

But I needn’t have been when I went to collect him in the afternoon the teachers said that he had a fantastic time and was running around everywhere. He was sleeping and remained sleeping for a good hour. Once he woke he didn’t really say a lot, but by tea time he was chatting about his day. That he had been on a bus and seen some pigs, cows, chickens, been on a tractor he obviously had a fantastic day.

So the first school trip has been a success can’t believe how big he is getting! He can’t wait for the next one!
