Remembering Rhianna

When you loose a child you worry a lot about how it affects your other children.

From the moment Rhianna died we have been concerned about how it has affected BB and then having Boo the year after Rhianna died we always have worried about how he would deal with his sister dying before he was even born.

It is a huge thing to deal with and something that I have always worried about for both of them in the back of my mind.

I worry so much about it as you just don’t know the lasting effects.

BB was only three when his sister died and Boo wasn’t even here.

Over the years BB has confirmed many times that he may not speak about Rhianna a lot but he massively thinks about her.

He will often buy her gifts when he is away from us, out with grandparents or away with school for her table here at home, her shelves in the garden, her garden or for her Christmas tree.

Boo mentions her on occasion but is so much younger that we don’t really 100% know how much he understands.

Currently he is massively into writing and drawing and the other day he went off and told me he was drawing his family.

He came back with this.

He told us that he drew Rhianna as well as all so that he never forgot her.

Like when his brother buys her presents when he is out with other people, he made my heart swell and my heart break all at the same time.

There are so many things we can worry about after loosing a child.

There are so many things I worry about after Rhianna dying.

But one thing I know for sure is that Rhianna has two brothers, one older, one younger, who absolutely love her to the end of their worlds.

She may not live her with them, they may never have spent any time with her or have any memories of her.

But they love her.

She is their sister.

She is their family.

And nothing and no one will change that.

And we don’t have to worry about that.
