October
It’s the first of October.

Where has this year gone?
I think being in lockdown has made this year seem to feel like it has gone on forever but has also disappeared in a blink of an eye.
But I have to admit I love October.
I love the autumn.
I love the winter.
I like the crisp mornings, listening to the rain on your windows, the cold nights, the dark mornings.
It is my season and the beginning of our birthdays and Halloween and Christmas.
It means the slow cooker comes out, the stews are made, roasts are cooked and just snuggling down when it gets cold and dark.
It is also the time when I have a bit of think about what I want to do for the last three months of the year.
This year I don’t have big plans but I do have plans.
I have many things half finished or nearly finished and I really want to end the year with a high percentage of the projects all finished so that is my goal.
It seems a small one but I actually have lots of things not complete and it is time to get them sorted and start a new year without things needing to be finished hanging over me.
I am looking forward to getting these things finally finished and can’t wait to share them as they are completed.
It’s going to be a busy few months but I am excited about it.
And I can’t wait to start decorating.
Getting some autumn bits into the house and then getting ready for Christmas.
I literally can’t wait to be decorated and cosy for Christmas it may be a bit different this year but no one can stop the decorating!
