Decorating and Growing Up

In just over a week BB will be 12.

And I am not reallt sure where the time has gone.

All he wants for his birthday is a new bedroom, so sometime by the weekend he needs to be shipped out and his room dismantled for his birthday surprise to take shape.

I can’t quite believe he is going to be 12.

And am actually in complete denial about it.

Even though next week I have to gut his room and get it ready for his birthday this week I have somehow decided to gut our own room.

Always something I do when we literally have no time space or anything really on our side.

I shouldn’t have started it but I have and now I want it finished before I head into doing anything else as it needed a massive clear out, and I have chucked a huge amount fo rubbish out. Our room is definitely the room that accumulates the rubbish and it is the room that is always left to last.

I think all of the rooms have been decorated in our house ours is still the same as it was when I was pregnant with BB, and with a mishmash of furniture that we have collected over the years.

Always the way isn’t it.

Boo is on his second room decoration and BB is on his third bedroom and fifth decoration.

This time we are definitely going for the older look and I hope it won’t be decorated for a while after we have done this.

I hope that will be his room sorted and then maybe we could actually get around to decorating our own.

Although at the moment I will just be happy with a gutting and clear out as it is definitely something that is needed that’s for sure.

And the half of the room that is done is making me feel so much better already if I am totally honest.

It is making me feel like I should be able to be creative in there again soon and that I will be able to sleep better in there soon too.

So it’s a bit busy here at the moment and I don’t think there will be much let up over the next coming of weeks as I think it is going to be full on for a while.

And I secretly love moving and changing rooms around even if it is complete and utter madness and mayhem the end result always makes me smile!
