Love 2 Read Book Review

A little while ago we were offered to review one of the fantastic books from Love2Read.

Love2Read is a great easy to use site with a great concept behind it. From the site you can create unique, personal photo books for your children that are based around their own life and their experiences to give them a passion for books that encourages a love of reading.

The books are personal and fun but there is an underlying factor in the book under each photo of the person or object relating to your child is a selection of high frequency key words that are starting the process of reading in your child. These key words are some of the first words they will be taught to read when they first start school, so the books are fantastic for learning too.

The site is easy to use and the books are generally fantastic you can choose from a selection of books, with either your own title or one of the pre set titles. These pre set titles include my dad, my daddy, our dad, our daddy or my papa and there are ones for mum, nanny, granny, grandad. Or first holiday, our year etc there is a wide range of titles including 78 books in total.

It was very easy to upload the pictures to the site, the my family book took ten pictures, and the first four pictures were used as the front cover.

I was able to edit the border in the book and write the words I wanted under the picture. Each sentence started with “I SEE…” but I was able to complete the names of the people in the picture.

At the back of the book there was a selection of the photos that had been used and a page full of all the words that were used in the book apart from the names, so we had a selection of I and SEE on the back page.

The whole ordering process was very simple and was really easy to do. After a couple of days I received a letter telling me that the order was being processed and then the book arrived and it was really above my expectations the pictures in the book are a great quality. It is small enough for little hands to hold, and the pictures and words are big enough for little people to see. Baba loves his book as he is on every page with different family members. He looks through it regularly and it has become a great hit in our house.

I think the book is a great price at £14.99 plus £2.00 postage it isn’t massive but I look at it as a photo book as well, Baba has ten photos of himself and family members in his book as well as learning to read. This is another thing that I really love about this book, it is something that you will always keep as well.

It gets a great thumbs up from all of us.
