Little Princess Trust And Help For Heroes

So after two years of growing his hair the time has finally come for BB to finally get his hair chopped and donate it to The Little Princess Trust and get it made into a wig.

It really has been a long time coming this growing his hair and he has done so well.

He has coped with it being so hot, it getting tangled and the constant washing and brushing and tying up that he has had to deal with every morning.

He constantly gets called a girl and he takes it.

He doesn’t get upset he doesn’t even respond anymore it happens that much when we are out and about he just ignores it and carries on with whatever he is doing.

But we are finally at a length that he is happy to have cut off and donate to Little Princess Trust.

We are over 10 inches and he now wants it all gone.

So the date is set and at 4.30pm on Friday the 19th of July this is all being chopped.

There have been some serious sighs of relief, his grandparents are so pleased as they are fed up with it falling out of the buns and him just having hair everywhere and I think he will be pleased not to be so hot and bothered all the time just because of his hair.

But BB hasn’t just stopped there.

Oh no as well as donating his hair to Little Princess Trust he also wants to get sponsored for his hair cut and raise money for Help For Heroes.

He chose this charity himself, he wants to donate all his sponsorship money to this charity as he wants to do it in memory of his dads mate Dave, the boys Uncle Dave who used to be a marine.

So as well as organising the haircut, I have also set him up a fundraising page via Just Giving for any donations and set it up that all donations go to Help For Heroes, he has set himself a target of £500 and is hoping to get as close to it as possible. You can go to his JustGiving page here.

We are all in awe of him, he is 10 years old, he has committed to this cause for the last two years, and now he has gone one step further by donating to a charity that he has sat down and looked into and decided it is the charity he wants to support.

And in the midst of all of this he is just so it’s no big deal, I am donating my hair to one charity and making some money for another charity. He doesn’t see how huge a deal this is at all, to him it is just something he is doing and is just a simple and easy thing to make some money!

That is all.

But we are so so proud of him.

But I am not so sure we will recognise him when he has all his hair chopped!
