Learning Letters

Baba is getting to that stage where he is really interested in letters, he knows an S, and X and a W but the rest he becomes a little confused with. He can spot his name on his leaf at preschool, when they first enter.

He constantly gets out books, and asks Mr L and myself to read them all. He also constantly asks us “what’s this say” “what’s it say”

He is raring to learn the letters, and is showing such a great interest in them that we have decided to encourage it as much as possible.

When I was a childminder I collected lots of things that were useful to help the children to learn and one of the things I collected were A4 alphabet letters. I printed all of these off the other day and have slowly been colouring them all in, getting ready to cut them out and stick them around his new art area so that he constantly sees the letters.

When I told Baba I was going to do this he was so excited that I had to print a set off for him as well to do his own colouring. I love that he is so excited about these and learning!
