May Bank Holiday

This bank holiday has been very family orientated, we did a little shopping, chilled with the family, went to Rhianna’s garden and did some DIY.

By Monday we were pretty much shattered, and only had one thing left on our list to do which was to go and get Mr L’s work van. As we had spent the whole day dismantling beds and putting beds back together and then moving furniture we thought that we would make a little trip out of collecting the van. So that Baba did something nice and because he had been an absolute star as we were doing all of the work.

We stopped off to have some fish and chips and then went to the beach for a little wander.

Baba decided that all the little twirls in the sand were real sea worms and that they popped out of the sand to say hello if you stood there for long enough. So all three of us, Mr L included with his size 10 shoes weren’t allowed to stand on any of the swirls incase we hurt the sea worms.

Baba stopped and looked at many of the “sea worms” checking that none of them popped out.

We then walked under the pier, which Baba found very exciting, and him and Mr L started to search for sea snails and crabs. Looking at all the seaweed on the poles and investigating all of the puddles, to see if they could see any animals.

They were successful a couple of times as well, finding lots of sea snails on the poles!

Baba loves searching for animals in places like this and just mooching around on the beach. It wasn’t warm but it was dry and it was a great hour of the day just calmly walking and having a bit of time just exploring. Another great family orientated bank holiday!
