Knitting a Cushion Cover
Anyone who has read my blog for a while will know that for the last couple of years I have been teaching myself to knit.
Mainly with just different squares that I then put together to make a square, I haven’t really ventured from that as I still find patterns daunting.
For Christmas I got a knit your own cushion cover from my niece and nephew and I didn’t want it to sit on my shelf, I wanted to make sure that I attempted the cover. Even though I was a little worried about attempting it as it had a cable knitting needle and to be honest cable knitting looked really complicated and I was a little worried about even trying it. As I thought that I would have to reattempt the rows so many times.
But you know what it really isn’t that complicated.
And I am nearly half way through the cable knitting already and it really is a knit that I enjoy doing!

I love that it looks very complicated and has a pretty dramatic effect, but actually is super easy to do.
I can’t wait to get it finished and actually have something other than a blanket that I have knitted!
It definitely has boosted my confidence with my knitting and I think I will attempt to make some other things rather than just my blankets this year.
