January Bugs

This past week we have all been ill, each and every one of us has had some sort of bug. I thought we were doing really well, we had gone so far without getting any January bugs and in the final week we all got ill.

Boo was the first who went down with it, first off with a cold virus that I was really hoping would disappear quite quickly. But unfortunately his cold turned to a sickness bug, which lead to a stomach bug and he got really poorly bless him.

We discovered that Boo is not good at being ill, he screamed, cried, and tried to stop himself it was all very traumatic.

He was ill for nearly a week, and as he started to get better I got sick.

Luckily just a horrible cold virus, but still it wiped me out for two days, and I barely coped with the boys, I felt completely drained and poorly and within hours the cold all went to my head and I could barely move without my head feeling like it was about to explode.

I managed to crawl through 48 hours of being ill, and Boo was finally better when Mr L went down with an illness. He caught the same as me, and is still recovering to be honest, again just like me it has all gone to his head and he feels like it is going to explode every time he moves.

We thought that was it, then yesterday morning Baba woke up with a horrible bark, and by the end of the day he could barely talk. He still has a horrible cough, but luckily his voice seems better and he seems a little bit more lively today. Although he has had his flu jab so I am hoping he has a little more protection than the rest of us.

So we have basically been floored by the dreaded January bugs, and I really had thought we had managed to avoid them this year.
