Getting Married Our Way

In August we have been married for five years!
When Mr L asked me to marry him six years ago, we knew instantly that we wanted to get married our way.
We weren’t going to be a couple that did the big huge wedding, for a while we weren’t even sure we would be getting married in this country.
We just knew we would be doing it how we wanted and it would be just how we wanted.
Over the year between getting engaged and getting married we looked at various variations from getting married abroad, to Gretna Green, to being married in a hotel with reception, going to a registry office and getting married in the church.
We looked at hotels, halls, pubs, little bars, marquees, fields and gardens for our reception.
We didn’t really know what we wanted at the beginning of our wedding journey and decided that the best course of action was to just keep looking around and until we were convinced that was what we wanted to do.
Since we got married I have always wanted to write a few posts about our wedding, as we obviously got married with out Rhianna and without one of Mr L’s closest mates around and how we included them in the day and also what we made for our wedding, but it isnt something that I have ever managed to do.
As we are now coming up to our fifth wedding anniversary I think the time is right to start writing about these little bits and pieces that I have wanted to include since we got married.
So I will be sharing some of our wedding ideas and pictures and posts between now and our anniversary of how we ended up with the wedding that we really wanted on the day!
Please look out for the posts and until then you can have a read about my wedding dress here
