First Week of Holidays

We have had a gorgeous first week of the holidays this year.
We have been to the beach, to the cinema, twice, had birthday parties, sorted the garden, spent time with the family.
And it really has been fab.
The boys have ditched the bedtimes and I have ditched waking them up in the morning.
They fall asleep late and wake up late and it is brilliant.
It is just what I love in our house.
I purposely haven’t filled up our holidays this year with loads of plans and I am purposely having time each day where the boys are just chilling as they definitely need it and at the moment it seems to be working.
I have consciously kept in mind we have a five year gap between them. So Boo wakes up earlier, but needs a chill time in the middle of the day, where as BB is up a lot later but does not want to get up too early in the day. Both of these are fine. But I am trying my hardest to make sure we accommodate them both this summer. And it isn’t all just about one of them.
But as we have had such a lovely week so far I have realised I haven’t actually done any real work.
And I really need to get a little system as currently I have a ton of work to do over the next couple of days and I can’t keep this up all holiday.
So I need to get on top of the work and make sure that I am doing a little work everyday rather than trying to fit it all in, in a couple of hours.
As the kids are getting older they are awake for longer and longer and just working in the evenings in the holidays is no longer working. I need to make sure I fit a bit of work into the days as well.
It’s a new system for me, as I have always done my work in the evenings when the boys are at home, so now we have to work out a new system and see how work and the children can work together.
