First Week Back To School

This week the boys have had their first week back to school this year, its been very strange them not being at home with me all day every day.

They were both a bit anxious before school started but as the week has gone on they have both got back into the swing of things nice and easily.

Its been a week of getting used to the routines again, along with the added testing for the eldest, and just getting used to the early mornings again and the early bedtimes.

It has also been a busy week at home.

The first part of the week I finished off the hallway and sorted through the huge piles of books at home.

The second part of the week was about making a start on the pile of items at home that need to either be thrown away or sold.

It has been weeks of us organising and decorating the rooms at home and putting away the things that we no longer need and now it is time to get rid of all those items.

I have a lot to get through and have only just made a start on it all and it has meant that the house is in a bit of mess at the moment as we sort through what is going where and wait for things to be picked up and collected.

But by the end of it, it will be so worth it all and will help the house to be rid of clutter.

We still have the shower room, kitchen and our bedroom to decorate and complete, but to be honest we need to sort out these piles of things to get rid off before we can continue with those rooms as we are actually running out of space!

We need a bit of organisation and after having everyone at home for a couple of months it is definitely needed and feels good to be finally getting rid of the things that we no longer need.

So yes we got to the end of the first week back at school, and it has been a busy week and we have a lot more to do before we are completely finished.

But I feel like we are turning a corner and can’t wait for all this to be finished now.
