Easter, Weddings, Zoo, and Painting!

This weekend it feels as if we have been away, we have had a mental weekend that has never stopped.

Friday we had our nephew over and took him and Baba to the beach as he had stayed Thursday night. My sister then came and collected both of them and took them back to her house for a sleepover as we had a wedding to go to.

I wasn’t looking forward to the wedding I have to admit, I have fallen out of the loop with this set of friends and feel a somewhat on the sideline with them all, however after get a little lost and the air turning blue with Mr L’s language and him threatening to punch the bride! We eventually got there and had a great time

Baba had a great time too, he went on a train and enjoyed every moment of it, we went over to my sisters for a BBQ in the afternoon and all the children were having a great time.

Sunday we went off to Marwell Zoo with all of Mr L’s family, it was a great sunny day, but not too hot thankfully. Although lots of the animals were hiding, but we did get to see the Red Pandas, who are usually always hiding. In all the years of going there I have never seen them before so that was exciting. Baba loves it there, he loves all the animals and was especially excited to go and see the Easter Bunny, that was one of the highlights for him.

Yesterday we decided to have a quieter day, but ended up going to the local model farm that has just opened in our town. Baba really enjoyed this, he was able to see some cows, sheep, lambs, pigs and horses and got to see the cows being milked. The farms aim is to teach children how we get things such as milk and meat, and Baba loved it. He got to see baby pigs (10 weeks) and baby lambs, some orphaned ones (8 weeks) and some ones with their mummies (4 weeks). It sounds as if it is going to get quite exciting down there as well as they have an expected horse and cow all due in august time. Can’t wait.

We came home and I started an art project that I have been wanting to start for a while, a huge canvas picture. It is in the early stages at the moment but I am very excited about it and can’t wait to show it all off!
