Decorating The Hallway

So we have been decorating the hallway over the past week.

It’s a task to do the hallway as we have three floors. But it was very much needed.

The dogs had wrecked the downstairs and we needed it to be a bit more uniform.

We brought new spindles for the stairs and Mr L changed them all over.

We then glossed all the stairs a slate grey colour and added grey carpet stickers on each stair.

We went with the same grey that we have in the lounge for the walls.

I wiped down the Days to Remember door, as I had written the dates all in normal chalk instead of chalk pen and they had all rubbed off over time.

We rejigged the sign wall.

And I completely culled my reading books.

I have so many to get rid off it isnt even funny. But it feels good to not have them on every single step up to the top room anymore.

We always had the hallway a bit higgidly with a couple of walls pink and some white, and the stairs multicoloured. Now it feels a bit more grown up and organised and fresh.

We are waiting on some new dog beds, a couple of new doors to match the other doors in the house and for the glossing of all the stairs to be done. Like we are waiting for all the glossing to be done in every room.

But it is already so much better than it was before.

It looks lovely now and feels fresh.

It flows from each floor to the next and finally all the floors work together.
