Clearing The Head!
I am a lot of things but when I am in a bad mood I will admit it. Today I woke in a hideous mood, I am not sure if it had anything to do with last night I am sure that it did. But I wasn’t in a good place, as soon as I wrote the post this morning. I was restless and bored and needed something to do. I could feel myself going deeper and deeper into a bad mood, and knew that that wouldn’t do Baba or myself any good. It was the first day back to normality in our house so I had to snap out of it and fast.
I had the suggestion that I should go for a walk, and as I have been harping on about the fact that I need to loose weight I thought that this was a good idea.
We got everything sorted and I decided to take Tito and Baba up to the common. We are surrounded by common round here, but it is not a walk you can do with a pushchair and as Baba is now a lot better on his feet I thought that we could try it out.
When we first got there, Baba was having a strop as he wanted to go in the playground, which I promised him he could do once we had walked Tito. Otherwise Tito would be fighting at the bit which wouldn’t be fair, but obviously a two year old did not understand that.
Until of course he saw the hills, that are actually the area where people go round on their bikes.

We spent ages here going up and down the hills, and Baba running over the bumps. He had a great time.
We then moved onto having an actually walk not without Baba commenting on the tractor tyre that he found, what great fascination this was.

He could not understand why there was a tractor tyre in the middle of the woods, as he called the common. He was so fascinated that he kept running back and forth to the tyre to check it was still there.
But once we got over the tyre we managed to have a nice long walk with Tito and Baba.

Tito loved it, he loves tracking across the common. Sniffing the other dogs and his favourite pasttime is finding things to roll in, hence the lead. That and the fact that he just runs away and never comes back and I am not yet skilled enough to chase him and handle a 2 year old. Not yet probably never.

They just love walking together, all you hear is Baba shouting after Tito. Saying “come on,” “stay here,” “look at this” everything is followed with Tito. Where ever Baba is Tito is not far behind them, they just like to be near one another when walking. It is very cute to see, still wouldn’t trust that Tito would run though!
I forgot how much I loved walking over the common, I used to do it a lot when I was younger. It was a place I walked around to clear my head. A place to collect my thoughts and I have always loved it. It is calming and beautiful as well in its own way.

How stunning is this tree, something that just blends into the scenary. If you weren’t walking past slowly you probably wouldn’t even notice this. I have to be honest if I didn’t have Baba with me today I probably wouldn’t have noticed it.
The whole walk made me clear my head and feel better about everything that I thought early on today. I know I can do this I have done it before, I know how to eat healthy, and I know that it is difficult and hard but I can cut down on the chocolate. I don’t think you should ever cut anything out just eat in moderation, I can do this before I was much slimmer and ate a much healthier selection of food. It is just getting my mind into the right place. That is the hardest thing. But I think it is going to be easier exercise wise.
Baba has to get out in the day, he goes a but mental if he is in all day, so however much I may not want to do it I am going to go out everyday. With Baba and Tito and even if we only do a 30 minute walk it is better than nothing, and is good for Tito.
We also found today, that after Tito has a walk he will wait nicely while we get a chance to go to the park.

This is great news, it opens up the places that we can go, knowing that I can tie Tito up for a little while and he is fine and quite happy as long as he has had his walk first. This means that we can go back to where we went a lot more as I didn’t think he would do that before so I am really happy about that. Baba is happy about it as he gets his play, and Tito is happy as he has a little rest from his walk. Everyone is happy!
Long may it last!

Yay well done, glad you all got out and enjoyed it!!
Thanks for the advice although we haven’t managed it today xx
Lovely photos.
Toddlers love going for walks, even if its just to the shops and back. My lil boy will walk anywhere. Walking back again though is a slow mission! hehe x
Yes walking back is always difficult haha xx
