Cleaning Out The Fridge
Today I have been on a mini mission.
To clean out my fridge.
It has been on my mind for a while, and yesterday while I was scrolling through Instagram I was watching Mrs Hinch’s stories on her cleaning out the fridge and knew that I had to get mine done today.
It was a serious mission, one of those once you start you wonder what you have started and then you don’t want to stop.
It literally took me all morning from start to finish.
But when it was finished I was so pleased with it.

It was sparkling in fact.
Our fridge for as long as I can remember has had a broken shelf on the door and that has finally been removed.
The junk was chucked out, you know those sauces that sit at the back of the shelf for long past their use by date but still just sit there.
All the drawers and shelves were removed and everything was washed and rinsed and cleaned before I put anything back.
Today I also went and brought some storage containers as we are forever opening the door to things falling out and disappearing on the floor in our fridge. So the boxes actually keep everything tidy and mean that you can open the door without having to have eighteen hands to hold everything in the kitchen.
I have also swapped the three drawers at the bottom around as for some reason our salad drawer was a lot larger than our vegetable drawer meaning that we always ran out of space with the veg but had an empty looking salad drawer. And being that we always have a stack of veg this was a regular occurrence.
I am really pleased with the space I have created and even though we have lost a shelf on the door it hasn’t actually affected how much is in the fridge.
It just looks sparkling now and will be much easier to maintain and keep looking gorgeously clean and tidy.
The only problem is now I have to do the freezer as they are joint and it looks awful compared to my shining fridge!
