Christmas is Coming!

It is only 6 weeks away until Christmas.

The Christmas Adverts are out on TV, and everywhere you look people are getting ready. The decorations are being put up in the streets and the shops are filling up with Christmas products. You can no longer get a normal birthday card in the card shops they are just full of Christmas.

This time last year, although we were dreading Christmas, being the first without Rhianna Lily we were nearly done.

We had a few presents left to get, but the majority was sorted.

I think the fact that both Mr L and I were dreading it, we made a massive effort to make sure that we were organised, we didn’t want to be going out in the mad Christmas rush of shopping. So we were ready really early. By the beginning of December the tree was up. Most the wrapping was done and the decision about the cards was made.

This year is completely different.

We are six weeks away.

We have been looking at Christmas presents for weeks now. We look in the shops, we look online. We then walk away.

Nothing seems to be getting done.

We have a couple of little things for Baba, I brought them months ago, I started off well, and then we all stopped.

Nothing has happened since.

We have to get Baba’s main presents, our nieces (3 in total) our nephew, MIL, FIL, BIL (times 3) SIL, Mums, Nan and Grandads presents. (We do a Secret Santa for my family cutting out a lot of the adults). Along with Baba getting presents for his cousins, his Nanny and Grandads, his Great Nan, his Pops, his Aunties and Uncles and his god parents. Then we have the dogs and each other. So not a lot!

And we need to do it all in 6 weeks.

We just can not get in the mood.

Everything we do seems a little blurgh!

Neither can get into the Christmas spirit even with Baba going on about Christmas everyday. The feeling, spirit and joy of Christmas has seemed to left our house this year and to be totally honest we really need to find it as it is really not that long to go.

We have 6 weeks, 6 weekends, and 40 days to get organised and find somewhere in the deep darkness of our house our Christmas spirit!

So if someone can tell me where we misplaced it or give us some of their surplus I would be very grateful!
