Boo’s First Painting
The last couple of weeks Boo and I have been getting to grips with toddler groups, it is a thing he has needed for a while, and to be honest I have really put them off. They really aren’t my thing.
But as he has been developing more and more I realised that I had to take him to help him to develop and to grow.
Last week we started with a rhyme time group at our local library that then also has a playgroup after the singing session on a Wednesday and then went to a local toddler group on the Thursday morning. Boo loved them both.
This week I will be honest, I really didn’t want to go to either, but I decided that it wasn’t about me, it was about Boo and he loved them and he needs them. He needs to interact with other children, different toys, and other people who aren’t me basically, as he is a very clingy child.
So we went to both the groups, yesterday he giggled away at the singing, and really played with all the toys in the group after.
Today he did seem a little bewildered but there were so many toys there today and this is all new to him, once he got in the swing of it he was happy pottering around and playing with the balls, the slides, and the trampoline.
He also discovered the paint table.
Boo has never shown an interest in anything arty unlike his brother who has always loved art.
But today was different he didn’t want to leave the table with the paint, insistent on making a picture and doing his first painting ever.

It was a case of dapping his paintbrush on the paper and making as many marks as possible before he was pleased with the end result.
And it is a great picture, one that will be named, dated and put away into an art box, just like his brothers pictures are and will eventually be scrapped.
Now to find a perfect scrapbook album and a perfect box to start storing Boo’s pieces of art!

Awwh that’s great xx love the painting
Brilliant isn’t it x
