Boo’s First Music Group

Today Boo and I went to our first music group. The local libraries Rhyme Time.

I am not a lover of baby groups, I never really did them with Baba and haven’t done anything with Boo since he was born. But he is at a point where he is looking for the interaction.

And he loved it.

It wasn’t a busy group and it just about held his attention for the whole group, considering he has never done anything like this before he did very well only wanting to leave at the very end.

He loved the songs, and loved the bouncing in the songs, he really did enjoy the singing part.

He wasn’t too sure what to do in the room with all the toys, I don’t think he has ever seen so many toys in one place, but he pottered around, playing with some musical instruments and basically just trekking from one end to another.

He was quickly tired as it is something that we have never done before and I was very aware of how much he had done in a short space of time, and we left a little early from the play time, but it was relaxed so we could leave whenever we wanted.

It was a success, and it is something that we will be doing again, and I did know a couple of people there so got to speak to a few mums as well. I think as Boo gets used to the songs and the actions to the songs it is a group that he will love to go to so we are going to go again next week and see how he goes with this group.

There is another musical group I want to try in town and would like to try the baby gym as well. One is later this week and one is next week once I have tried them all I will make more of a decision about the groups that we will be going to regularly. But for now this is a group that we will be going to again as it seemed to be a great hit with Boo.
