Back To Routine, The Start Of A Routine
Today saw our family finally back to the old routine.
No more week day lay in’s until 10am, no more lounging about in our PJ’s and no more chilling at home doing nothing at all.
We have to get up early again, get ready and be out of the house ready for school and raring to go.
Today was the start of the new term and we woke up late, but managed to get to school on time, after quite a bit of rushing and moving around.
Baba loved going back to school, seeing his friends and basically getting back into the usual routine.
This term I am planning on changing a few things when Baba is at school.
The last year, Boo and I have spent a lot of time at home, and seeing friends, but we haven’t really been to any groups or anything like that. But now I think Boo is ready to start mingling with children of his own age, and start interacting with other children who aren’t just in the family. So I have been looking at what is around and trying to plan out our week with activities for Boo as well as Baba.
Boo loves walking around, and loves music. So we have a couple of groups planned to see how he gets on.
Tomorrow we are of to the Libraries Rhyme Time, and Friday we are off to a local music group, there is also a toddler gym on a Tuesday that I may go to next week depending on how we get on with the other two groups. But I am not totally sure as I also want to get him into the swimming pool, and as Baba isn’t currently able to swim that much it seems a good thing to start doing with Boo when Baba is at school.
It is totally out of my comfort zone and isn’t really things I like to do, but he is on the cusp of starting to talk and wanting to interact with people and I really want to encourage that. Boo’s life is me, and I understand every little noise and oohh and ahhh noise he makes and that does not help him, with regards to starting to speak properly.
So we are going to put on our coats, I am going to put on my brave face, as I really don’t like meeting new people, and I am going to grin and bear it and we are going to try out some new places for him.
A new routine to get our teeth into and hopefully one of the places will be a success and will be something that he loves so that he has an activity like Baba has his Beavers.
