Boo’s Dog House

While BB and I were planting the vegetable patch Boo and Mr L were out in the back garden doing some building.

First they were going to make a bird house but by the end of it they decided to make a dog house.

It was the first time Boo has ever done anything like this and with the help of his dad he did some sawing and drilling.

And worked out how to make the dog house by himself.

They also decided to put some of the shed roof felt on top of the house to make the roof look better.

And the plan is to finally paint it one day.

But at the moment it is just staying as the plain wood.

And the dogs seem to like it.

They still aren’t 100% sure about it, but in this nice weather it is a perfect place to put their water in so it remains cool and they can have a drink in the shade and hopefully they will learn to use it as somewhere to escape the sun and get a little shade.

For his first wood work project I think he did very well for a 6 year old. Something that definitely wouldn’t have happened if we weren’t all currently indoors at the moment.
