A Knitted Flannel
Now bare with me on this one, if you think this is a little mad, but I haven’t really had the time to do much crafting in this crazy house we currently have.
With everyone in it at all times!
So I am trying small things to see if I can get them completed with all this going on.
One thing I have seen a few times is people making their own flannels out of wool.
Now this has fascinated me a bit, because I am just not sure how effective they would be and what they really are like when wet.
I have lots of spare wool so thought I would try this little project while everyone was at home and actually see what the fuss about these flannels is.
Well it actually took me a lot longer than I expected.
Told you I am not getting any time for crafting.
But finally last night I finished it.
I still haven’t used it yet, I will report back on that when I do that. But the initial flannel is finished.

And I love the colours.
Not sure what else I would use these colours for, but absolutely love the all together.
They would probably make some amazing gloves to be honest, maybe that could be another project.
But I am pleased with how they look together.
This was a simple knit pattern, nothing fancy or complicated as this wool really doesn’t need complicated or fancy!
It holds its own with the simplest of patterns.
And does look fab.
Now I just need to see what I think about this flannel when I actually use it.
I shall keep you posted.
