And Now For Exercise

My back saga has been going on for a long time now.

Back and forth with pain and discomfort since I fell down the stairs in 2012 to be honest, and the worst thing is I have nothing to show for my pain. As well as a physical pain, the biggest problem I have with my back is that it always reminds me of being pregnant.

It messes with my head and I really hate that.

I never get a release of why my back hurts, and where I was in my life before I hurt my back. Pregnant with my little girl, happy and so excited.

It is a tough one to deal with, as I never ever forget Rhianna and being pregnant with her, but the pain when it is really bad sends me right back to that moment as well.

So it’s a double whammy to be honest.

Today I went back to the physio, and instead of working on my shoulders she decided to work on my lower back. Instantly she told me that I am hypermobile in my back, and I lock my back into an arch.

So I have a lot of work to do.

When I stand I stand with all my weight on one leg, which I have always done, so I need to adjust the way I stand and the way I sit, and move in general. So I have been referred to the gym to strengthen my core muscles as I don’t have good stability, just a very arched back.

It looks like there will be a lot of work ahead of me, and lots of dedication to change the way I stand and move around but I always thought I would just be left with my back pain, so the fact that it can actually be fixed is a great thing as I didn’t actually think that was possible. So there is light at the end of the tunnel!
