A Pool Day

Since lockdown started the boys have been desperate to get some sort of paddling pool, or swimming pool in the garden.

And to be honest we just haven’t been able to find the perfect size one for the space we have left in our garden.

Until yesterday.

We finally found one that would fit in the garden.

So this morning before the boys were even awake I was up and getting the pool ready as I knew it was going to be hot, and to be honest after getting it yesterday night I knew that they wouldn’t want to do any work as they would both just want to be in the pool.

Today was a non school day, well a pe only day and they have literally spent the day in the pool.

As soon as they had breakfast they were in there and remained in there until lunchtime.

I have read my book and chilled out. While they have chilled out in the pool.

After lunch they were back in there.

By the end of the day Boo has managed to put his head under the water without holding his a nose a couple of times, thanks to his brother teaching him.

When they finally got out of the pool I managed to put my feet in there and actually appreciate the nice cool water rather when they finally left the water to go inside for a while.

It was definitely a day that the boys needed.

They have throughly enjoyed being in the water, chilling and not thinking about any work or anything else for the day.

With the heat as well today I think it would have been a battle to get them both to work. So I am super pleased that we managed to finally find a pool for them to have some stressful relief during this lockdown period!
