What A Force!
What a day it is outside!
Sitting indoors hearing the lashing rain,
The wind pounding on the window frames,
Rattling the doors, pushing the bricks to their boundaries
The fences rattling outside
Moving from side to side holding onto their last pegs
Grabbing on for dear life
We watch on hoping and praying they don’t fall or come crashing down
We are snuggled inside, nice and warm and dry
Thinking of the people outside working, and facing up against the wind
The rain and the cold
Holding their own on the ground fighting the force that is the wind
Determined to move the earth from the bottom up
Battling through, with its war like cries, screaming through the hills
Wailing through the alleys never stopping,
And taking whatever is in its way and daring to prevent its path
