What A Bit Of Cleaning Can Do…

Today I was cleaning, and it suddenly came to me what the problem has been.

I wrote the other day about feeling lost with the blog, and not really sure how I wanted it move on, or where I wanted it to go.

Then while I was cleaning the bathroom, and I looked at the shelving unit that stored all our duvets, pillows and towels on and decided that I really needed to change the colour, it is a pale blue and has a flowery cover over the edges, I kept looking at it and I thought that it really needed to be changed to a blue and white stripe, as I would really like a sea themed bathroom. Which the unit no longer fitted.

It was in that moment that I remembered when I first put the unit in the bathroom I wanted to blog about it, and it never actually happened.

There are many things that I think I should blog, that never ever happen.

And I realised that actually it is because this blog is pigeon holed, I haven’t intentionally pigeon holed it, but it has become it.

It is a mummy blog.

Which I have always loved.

But you know what I am not just a mummy.

As Baba has got older, I have censored, even more than I usually do, he can read now, his friends can read, and there are things that I don’t want him to read about. So I don’t write them, and he is at school, for a lot of the time, so there isn’t always as many things to write about.

But there are so many other things to write about.

There is the house, my writing, my photography, crafting, scrapbooking, Boo, Mr L, our wedding that we had last year, the things that we made for them and general house stuff.

Our life isn’t just about me being a mummy.

Our life is about our life.

And it is about time, the blog became that as well. It needs to be moved from a Mummy Blog, to a Lifestyle Blog.

And I feel so much better for saying it.

There needs to be a few changes, I want the look of the blog to be different, and I want to adjust a few things. I am not sure to what yet, and I am not sure how long it will take, but there will be changes and I am excited for them.
