Vegetable Garden Update
Well we have some vegetables!
There definitely aren’t as many as we had planted but there are definitely some that have grown.

BB is pretty impressed and that is all that matters really.
He has strawberries growing, carrots, spring onions, beetroot, cauliflower, beans and sweetcorn, as far as we can tell so far.
I honestly don’t think anything else will grow.
He is however hopefully something may begin to grow, who knows he may be lucky!
We shall see.
At the moment he is just pleased this amount of seeds have grown and now can’t wait until he can harvest them.
We have a lot to learn about gardening and really just chucked the seeds in and hoped for the best this year.
We have some gardening books and I think we both need to have a flick through them to work out how to plan our garden for the winter and next year. To make sure we can actually grow a decent amount of vegetables in the future as we now have the patch so want to make sure it is used to its fullest!
So if you have any tips for an 11 year old and his mother who are less than novices at growing vegetables then please send them our way!

You could think about ‘thinning out’ the seedlings so that they don’t compete for the same soil/light/water. Search for ‘how do you thin out seedlings’ or ‘how do you thin out ………’ to get some advice on how to proceed with particular plants.
Fab thank you will look into that x
